- Heroes Boat Parade, Party and Fundraiser – July 4, 10:30am-4pm
Honor the brave men and women who serve our country during this patriotic parade on the water. Locals and visitors alike gather at the Hernando Beach Yacht Club to watch the decorated boats cruise through the canals of Hernando Beach, a moving tribute to American heroes. The public is also invited to enjoy BBQ and live music, as well as a silent auction benefitting the Florida Veterans Foundation.
- Stars and Cars Demolition Derby and Fireworks – July 4, 3-10pm
For a classic dose of all-American action, head to the Hernando County Fairgrounds with friends and family. Enjoy an evening of demolition derby thrills, live music and children’s activities – then cap off the night with dazzling fireworks lighting up the summer sky.
- Rev, White & Brew Festival at Lead Foot City – July 4, 5-10pm
Buckle up for a high-energy celebration at this one-of-a-kind automotive entertainment complex in Brooksville. The Rev, White & Brew Festival features a vibrant mix of activities for the whole family, including live music, drag racing, car shows, vendors, food trucks and fireworks.
- American Family Celebration – July 4, 7-10pm
Celebrate with the whole family at Great Life Church, where the public is invited to enjoy food trucks, fireworks and fun for all ages. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on to enjoy the show.

Step back in time at the May-Stringer House Museum, a four-story Victorian-era home overlooking the city of Brooksville. has fourteen themed rooms—including one dedicated to military history, where you’ll hear the stories behind this National Register of Historic Places landmark.
For more small-town Americana, a visit to the Richloam General Store does not disappoint. Here guests are transported back to the 1920s, where you can browse vintage-style goods, sip an old-fashioned soda, and relax on the front porch beneath fluttering American flags.
And don’t forget—Scalloping Season is officially underway! Celebrate your independence with a splash by snorkeling the Gulf’s shallow seagrass beds and bringing home the perfect treat for a family cook-out.
