Don’t have an ATV or OHV, fear not, our local vendors have everything you need, from the vehicle to the safety gear.
Nestled in the beauty of the Withlacoochee State Forest, only 45-minutes North of Tampa, lies Croom Motorcycle Area. 2,600-acres of ATV and motorcycle trails provide a high-octane dose of nature. Voted as one the “10 Coolest Places You’ve Never Been in North America” by the World Wildlife Fund, the Croom trails offers something for every rider in the family, including a training area and young rider area. The terrain ranges from hardwood hammocks and tight scrubs to numerous pits left from discontinued mining operations. There are shaded riding trails, fenced Kids beginners’ areas, fenced circle tracks, a 100-acre sand bowl, picnic tables, a campground with hookups and plenty of hills to play on.
The Withlacoochee State Forest also offers separate trails for mountain bikers. More than 50 miles of off-road single-track trails are maintained by the SWAMP Mountain Bike Club volunteers. Visitors are welcome to join a ride or a word-day. Local bike shop, Crank Works Bicycles, regularly hold organized rides, including night rides, open to all.
Open seven days a week, visitors can bring their own OHV, or rent on from one of our local vendors, who offer ATVs, BMXs, safety gear and training or a guided tour. In addition, there is a large Training Pavilion which is available to rent. Day Use Areas have picnic facilities and restrooms.

Buttgenbach Campground at Croom Motorcycle Area has 51 water and electric sites with 30- & 50-amp hookup. There is a maximum of 1 RV and 1 tent or 2 tents per site. There are 2 bathhouses and 1 ATV/Dirt Bike wash station within the campground.
