SHOP LOCAL ON FLORIDA’S ADVENTURE COAST

Spanish moss-draped oaks greet visitors to Brooksville’s historic downtown; the Hernando County seat, its center is anchored by a stately red brick, multi-columned courthouse built in 1913.

Discover quaint shops and charming boutiques offering everything from hand-made art to high-end fashion. For fun browsing and unique goodies including home décor, antiques, gifts, and much, much more, visit Easy Street Home Décor and the Country Depot, both steps away from the historic courthouse on Main Street. Also nearby is Patricia’s Boutique, offering fashions for every occasion, from wedding and prom dresses to chic clothing and accessories.

Need some energy to ‘shop until you drop’? Stop by Mountaineer Coffee for delicious drinks and check out the fun items sold in their little shop just right off the barista counter.

If you’re feeling crafty, Panbanged Knits & Fiber Shoppe and the Teal Magnolia Workshop both welcome guests into their beautiful shops along Main Street, offering DIY kits, monthly workshops and classes, with the opportunity to create something beautiful among friends new and old.

For art lovers, a must-visit is the Rusted Jade, a unique tattoo shop-meets-art gallery selling locally made art pieces and hosting workshops and events. Next take a tour of the Gallery 201 at Brooksville’s City Hall, where you may just fall in love with a piece and decide to take it home with you. This gallery showcases the work of local artists and artisans, including paintings, sculptures, pottery, jewelry, and more. Admission is free and the gallery offers new exhibits throughout the year.

The historic Hawkins House is home to delightful shops including the Pearl Porch Boutique, Westover’s Flowers and Gifts, and Mallie Kya’s Café. Step across the drive to the Boho Gift Shop Candles & More, or across the street to Flippin’ Out Vintage, and the Florida Cracker Trading Company.

Many unique Florida gifts and souvenirs can be found at Boyett’s Grove and Citrus Attraction, while the nearby Remington Outpost offers Western clothing and gear. Don’t forget to make a visit to the Richloam General Store, located a short drive East of downtown Brooksville. Serving as the post office and general store for the town of Richloam up until the late 1920s, this historic spot is a ‘living history’ shopping experience offering canned and dry goods, jellies, vintage snacks and drinks, an ice cream parlor and more for guests to enjoy.

For more farm-fresh goodies, visit the Olive Grove; this family-owned farm produces and sells high-quality olive oil, vinegar, and other products. You can take a tour of the grove, learn about the production process, and taste the different varieties of oil and vinegar.

If you’re into vintage finds, who isn’t? Along with Easy Street Home Décor, you’ll find a variety of darling shops here on Florida’s Adventure Coast, including AKA Salvage, Greenhouse on Main, and Great Stuff and More in Brooksville, as well as Junkyard Dog Antiques, The Thrifty Dog, Black Oak Antiques and Rust to Roses Vintage Décor & More in Spring Hill and Weeki Wachee.

If you’re looking for a shopping adventure that’s out of the ordinary, look no further than Weeki Wachee and Hernando Beach. These charming coastal towns are home to some of the most unique and whimsical shops you’ll ever find. Whether you’re in the mood for mermaid souvenirs, unqiue decor or handcrafted jewelry, you’ll find something to delight your senses and spark your imagination.

For nautical and coastal themed treasures, head west to Spring Hill Souvenirs & More. More than just a typical souvenir store, this local shop sells homes wares, accessories, and gifts with a Florida theme. In Hernando Beach, visitors enjoy waterside dining and shopping the Silver Dolphin Restaurant & Country Store, featuring a variety of handcrafted items and gifts, sweets, and snacks reminiscent of an ‘Old Florida’ tourist attraction.
