This November, Brooksville is poised to host a powerful and moving tribute to the resilience of the human spirit. The 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation will roll into town on November 8 and 9, 2024, bringing with it a profound reminder of the events of September 11, 2001, and the heroes who emerged from that day.
This traveling museum is more than just an exhibit—it’s an experience designed to educate and inspire. This 83-foot tractor-trailer transforms into a 1,100-square-foot museum space, where visitors will see artifacts from Ground Zero, including World Trade Center steel, pieces of the marble lobby floor, and the aluminum façade. The exhibit also features videos, 9/11 dispatch audio, and a tribute to the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11.

Annual Tunnel to Towers Brooksville 5K
Join the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run / Walk through downtown Brooksville on November 9th! This year’s event features a new race route starting at Hernando Park, running down to Brooksville High School, and winding back through the beautiful neighborhoods and brick streets of Brooksville.
The day will begin with a special opening ceremony featuring guest dignitaries, an honor guard, and a stirring bagpipe performance at 8:00am. The 5K walk/run will start promptly at 8:30am. Cheer on and show your support for our first responders!
Veterans Music Festival
On November 9, 2024, from 11:00am to 10:00pm, visit historic downtown Brooksville for the Veterans Music Festival, a day dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of our local veterans. The Tunnel to Towers 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit is this years’ exciting featured exhibit. This family-friendly festival will feature live music, food, artisan market, family fun zone and activities, all aimed at showing our gratitude to the brave men and women who have served in the armed forces.
