Experience World-Class Golf at Cabot Citrus Farms
Get ready for Cabot’s first-ever U.S.-based golf destination, coming to Florida’s Adventure Coast, Brooksville – Weeki Wachee!
With a name honoring the region’s history in citrus production, Cabot Citrus Farms features sandy soil, 80-foot elevation changes, and rolling fairways flanked by pine trees and ancient oak trees draped in Spanish moss.
Read on to learn more about the resort’s new golf experiences. Karoo, an 18-hole course, and two unique shorter courses – The Squeeze and The Wedge – opened for preview play in late January 2024, while Roost, another 18-hole course, will open for preview play in October 2024. The destination will celebrate its grand opening in January 2025.
Each of the four courses offers a unique experience reflected in their names, inspired by Brooksville and the surrounding nature.
Karoo: Designed by Kyle Franz, this course promises to keep things exciting and offers a rugged aesthetic with unique grassing patterns, wide corridors of play, and varied routes to pins and tee box placements.
The Roost: Co-designed by Mike Nuzzo, Kyle Franz and Ran Morrissett, The Roost capitalizes on different environments to offer a world-class golf experience for players of all skill levels.
The Squeeze: Designed by Mike Nuzzo, this 9-hole course is full of fun and drama. Holes range from 100 to 550 yards, and many of their designs were inspired by the world’s best short par 4s.
The Wedge: This 11-hole par-3 course offers expansive waste areas and greens with dramatic slopes. Holes range from 85 to 125 yards and lights located throughout the course means the party doesn’t stop at dusk. Golfers have the option to play The Squeeze and The Wedge in between or after full rounds.
Guests can currently enjoy comfort stations, a golf pro shop stocked with merch, and The Porch, an area to gather and relax with bocce ball, corn hole, croquet and F&B options. Beautiful nature trails, racket sports (tennis, pickleball, padel ball), clay shooting, axe throwing, and a coffee shop are all offerings to look forward to at Cabot Citrus Farms in 2024. Food options will include food trucks and The Grange Hall, a central gathering space featuring a diverse, health-focused menu, luxury indoor and outdoor seating areas, grab n’ go general store, bar and a cozy outdoor fire pit lounge.
