There is something so restorative about a Saturday morning ritual. Usually, my routine takes me miles and miles through Tom Varn Park, followed by a steady breakfast at Luigi’s. It’s my favorite way to clear my head and start the weekend right. But today, Miss Teresa at Luigi’s gave me a bit of advice I’m so glad I followed. She told me I had to go walk The Quarry. So, right after breakfast, I headed out. From the parking lot at Luigi’s, through the winding paths of The Quarry and back, it was a 1.3-mile loop. And let me tell you—it was every bit as rewarding as my usual 5-miler! As you can see from the photos, the fog was thick and the world was incredibly still. Because it was so early, the woods were absolutely alive with animals everywhere greeting the morning. It was a beautiful reminder that sometimes a change of scenery—and a little mist—is exactly what the soul needs. 🌲🌫️🦌 What a great start to the day!
