4.3 Stars, Very nice place, great atmosphere, service was good, food was above average in total. The hot chicken sandwich was very tasty, the fried chicken gizzards were excellent, the mac & cheese gator sausage was just OK, would not get the mac & cheese again. Cute creative atmosphere. Beans had alot of flavor. Potato salad had a odd flavor. Meat definitely needed a sauce for my liking . Mac & cheese & cornbread just ok. But everybody is different in what they find worth a 5 star rating. The udders made it easy to get sauce which is way better than a bottle. Great sauce selection.

While riding the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail (C2C), I stopped by Florida Cracker Cook Shack in Brooksville—what a gem for a hearty meal! I went with the Original Hot Chicken Sandwich, loaded with crispy, perfectly seasoned fried chicken that's got that killer heat and flavor explosion in every bite. Paired it with their homemade coleslaw (crisp, creamy, and just the right tang) and a big piece of cornbread that's moist, buttery, and packed with that homemade goodness. The flavors were off the charts—true Southern comfort food done right. The place has that authentic rustic BBQ joint vibe, with plenty of outdoor space and fun stuff to keep kids entertained while you dig in. Super family-friendly and laid-back, perfect for kicking back after a long day on the trail. Staff was welcoming, food came out hot and fresh, and it's clear they take pride in their "Florida Soul Food. "If you're pedaling the C2C through the Brooksville area, craving real-deal hot chicken, BBQ, or just some hearty eats, this is the spot. Highly recommend—I'll be back next time I'm crossing the state!

From Ft Lauderdale, been visiting Brooksville the last 20 years for the ATV park off I75 and stumbled upon this place today. Good BBQ and great service! Ribs were delicious as well as the brisket. The baked beans were the best I’ve ever had. Nick took our order and provided great service! Definitely worth checking this place out.

I Definitely recommend stopping by here. Great food in the quaint little town of brooksville. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious and paired well with the baked beans which were fantastic. Best I've had in a long time. The resturant has that real old florida feel.
