Some fun fast facts:
• Hernando County is home to Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, renowned as the “Mermaid Capital of the World,” where live mermaid shows have dazzled audiences since 1947.
• The charming historic district in Brooksville features well-preserved 1800s buildings.
• The entire county has just a little more than 200,000 residents. Compared to other destinations, this equates to less traffic and a more natural environment.
