Adventure Coast Charters
Adventure Coast Charters offers guided fishing and scalloping trips along Florida’s west-central Gulf Coast. Based in Hernando Beach, the charter service takes visitors and locals onto the waters of the Gulf of Mexico for inshore and nearshore fishing experiences.
Trips are led by U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain Jamie Smith, who has extensive experience fishing Florida’s saltwater and freshwater environments and shares his knowledge of local waters and seasonal fishing patterns with guests.
Adventure Coast Charters also offers seasonal scalloping trips, a popular Nature Coast activity where guests can snorkel and gather scallops in the Gulf. Launch locations include Hernando Beach, Weeki Wachee, Bayport, and nearby coastal communities.
Visitors can book half-day or extended charters for a hands-on experience exploring the Gulf while fishing or scalloping along Florida’s Adventure Coast.

Joe GryteHad a great trip with Captain Mike! My entire family of 5 (not all fishing at once) went and we all got a chance to catch fish, lots of redfish (up to 30 inches) and snook with a couple bonus jack to boot. We had never experienced that type of fishing before, it was a great time! 5 is a lot of passengers for a trip like that but Mike made sure that everyone was comfortable and had fun. Highly recommend!

Ken PhillipsHighly recommend Captain Jamie and Live Action Charters for everything from fishing to scalloping to sunset cruises. Jamie has been fishing these waters for years and man, does he know how to put you on the fish! He took my wife and daughters out last November and they caught trout, Redfish, Bluefish and Mackerel. He took my son Ben and I ought a few months ago and put us on some great fish all day long! Reds, mackerel, trout and more. Treat yourself to a great day on the water! You’ll be glad you did!

MrDanny2440My son in law and I went fishing in late March with Captain Jamie and it was a very memorable trip. Almost every trout we caught was a keeper and even had to release some as we had our limit over 20". we also had a 25" Redfish which was a great addition. All in all it was a very good 4 hr trip. I would highly recommend him as a guide. He knows where to go and what to use. You should give him a try you won't regret it.

Monte GoodmanBeen out with Jamie a couple times and both times he had us on plenty of fish. I'm planning to fish with him a lot more. Super personable and extremely knowledgeable about the waters he fishes. Keeps his equipment in great working condition and will do everything possible to make sure you have a safe, fun, and successful experience.
