Been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile and finally went after seeing a Facebook video featuring their fresh fish of the day — hogfish. The place itself was beautiful, upscale, and had a really nice atmosphere with everyone dressed up nicely. The menu had great options and every dish that came out looked amazing. The food was fresh, high quality, and full of flavor. Even the presentation of each plate was impressive. Honestly everything was great and we’ll definitely be back.
May 19, 2026 · Google ReviewFinally got around to going to Brian’s on Paella night! Located at 3430 Shoal Line Blvd Hernando Beach Fl Brians always Parking was ample, wait was non existent (I am a party of 1) but with parties of 2 or more I suggest reservations. Lisa was the hostess and she was very courteous and hospitable, my waitress Victoria was also awesome! Paella night is usually Wednesdays but this Wednesday he had Hogfish paella! I started with a house salad and garlic bread. The salad was crisp and a great start and the garlic bread soft and warm. The star of this evening was definitely rich, savory and aromatic hogfish paella, flakey hogfish, tender mussels and clams, with succulent shrimp and flavorful rice mixing in a harmony of spice! I savored every bite of the Hogfish paella and wished I could save some for lunch tomorrow but it was just too good not to enjoy all of it in the moment! I’m telling you folks Brian’s does not miss when it comes to great food and relaxing ambiance!
Apr 23, 2026 · Google ReviewBrian’s Place in Hernando Beach has officially become my “I don’t feel like risking a bad meal” spot because they never miss. Every time I go, the food is consistently flavorful, and the presentation? Straight-up cooking show level. I kicked things off with the mango mojito, which I can only describe as “sweet paradise… but wearing business pants.” Smooth, refreshing, and just the right balance of tropical sweetness and “oh yeah, there’s definitely something in this.” Dangerously easy to drink. For my appetizer, I went with the Cuban roast pork crostini and wow. The pork was so tender it basically melted on contact. And the grilled bread underneath? You could actually taste that smoky, toasted flavor coming through, like the pork just settled in and made itself comfortable there. Every bite felt like it knew exactly what it was doing. My dinner started with a homemade Caesar salad that deserves its own moment. Crisp, fresh, perfectly dressed not drowning, not dry, just right. The kind of salad that makes you forget you’re technically eating something healthy. For the main event, I had Chef Brian’s classic crispy seared salmon and this is where things got serious. The salmon was cooked perfectly, flaky and rich, but that sear on top? Incredible. Golden, crispy, and giving that satisfying crunch before melting into the buttery fish underneath. It’s the kind of texture combo that keeps you going back for “just one more bite” until suddenly… it’s gone. Brian’s Place isn’t just consistent it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re treating yourself, even on a random night. If you’re anywhere near Hernando Beach and even slightly hungry, go. Your taste buds will thank you. Your standards for food might never recover.
Mar 26, 2026 · Google ReviewSecond visit to Brian’s place, and it didn’t miss a beat. The food was exceptional across the board. The grouper was cooked perfectly, and the ahi tuna dinner was a standout. The mussels were good, though I did ask for extra lemon as they were a bit mild for my taste. What really stood out was the teamwork. You could feel it. The manager stopped by to check on us, and our server, Tessa, was fantastic—relaxed, attentive, and never rushed us. Her recommendations were honest and spot-on, which made the experience even better. On my previous visit, I had the filet mignon, and it was phenomenal—easily on par with some of the best fine-dining steakhouses I’ve been to. One small suggestion: the sauce paired with the ahi tuna wasn’t bad, but I think it could be even better. A wasabi-forward sauce with a touch of ponzu might elevate the dish. Just a thought from a guest—not a chef. I’ll absolutely be back. I came back and had the chicken with mozzarella, string beans and potatoe all cooked with excellent flavor. Ny fiends had the special flank steak and slamon and loved it. Our server Nick was great! Loved seeing the manager again.
Mar 1, 2026 · Google ReviewOn my visit to Tampa I was taken to this beautiful restaurant. The food was great and so we're the drinks. The desert Guava cheese cake was everything 😋 should have gotten a slice 2 go.
