Jul 10, 2026 · Google ReviewI've been eating at A Taste of New Orleans in Brooksville for a couple of years now, and it's become one of my absolute favorite restaurants. Everyone I've recommended it to has come away impressed, and most would probably put it in their top three to five places to eat. This isn't a fancy restaurant, and that's part of its charm. It's clean, welcoming, and the owners are almost always there. They're genuinely some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. The shrimp po' boy is outstanding—I could honestly eat three of them every week. The gumbo, jambalaya, and étouffée are all fantastic, the red beans and rice are excellent, and the boudin links are some of the best I've had. I've yet to order anything that wasn't delicious. The biggest surprise is how many people who live and work in Brooksville have never tried this place. It's easy to drive right past it, and that's a huge mistake. I live in Wesley Chapel and will happily drive an hour just to get one of those shrimp po' boys. They're that good. If you're anywhere near Brooksville and haven't been to A Taste of New Orleans yet, you're missing one of the area's true hidden gems.
Jul 3, 2026 · Google ReviewStaff are kind. Sweet tea is good. Food is delicious. I go here whenever I can. Y'all. Got snow crab today. Best crab I've ever had that I didn't make.
Jul 2, 2026 · Google ReviewHad the gator bites and jambalaya with a friend. Ended up getting an impromptu concert also! Can't wait to come back and try the seafood boil!
Jun 24, 2026 · Google ReviewSo far I have only try the chicken gizzards and they are the most tender and soft ones I have ever had will definitely be comming back for them and the fries. And definitely have to come back for the beignets and many other items they offer.
