I cannot say enough incredible things about my experience in the ER. From the moment I arrived, I was met with urgency, compassion, and true professionalism. My triage nurse, Michelle, immediately made me feel heard and prioritized. Nurses Troy and Tori took exceptional care of me — attentive, kind, and incredibly efficient. The ER director, Kristin, personally checked on me to ensure I was comfortable, which spoke volumes about the leadership and culture of the department. Dr. Cina evaluated me right away, quickly recognized the severity of my condition, and identified the need for emergency surgery without delay. Because of their swift action, I was in the operating room within an hour of arriving. A very special thank you to Patrice, the ultrasound technologist, who obtained the images while I was in significant pain. She was patient, gentle, and incredibly compassionate throughout the exam. Dr. Grim, the radiologist, read the ultrasound within minutes and immediately called with the critical findings — a rapid response that directly expedited my care. In pre-op, Nurse Kim, the anesthesiologist, the CRNA, and most importantly Dr. Awwad were nothing short of extraordinary. They were calm, confident, compassionate, and deeply competent. In a terrifying moment, they gave me reassurance and lifesaving care. I apologize for anyone on the team whose names I left out, please note you are appreciated! This entire team worked seamlessly together and quite literally saved my life. I will forever be grateful for their skill, dedication, and humanity.
