Haunting For Hunger Halloween Boat Parade
We are excited to announce the first annual Hernando Beach Haunting for Hunger Halloween Boat Parade!
This community event brings our fleet of spooky boats through the Hernando Beach canals to collect food donations for People Helping People (PHP), a local nonprofit serving those in need in Hernando County.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 in cash and food donations to help stock their shelves for the holiday season.
Event Details:
Date: Friday, October 30
Time: Parade starts at 7:00 PM
Route: Marlin Canal to Cheeks Creek Canal to Rock Bass Canal to Tarpon Canal, ending back at Marlin Canal.
How to Donate:
From Your Dock: As the parade passes by, flash a light from your dock. Our last two boats will pull up to collect your food donations for PHP, and you'll receive a Halloween treat in return!
Drop-off: You can also drop off items at one of our local donation stations.

Requested Donation Items:
Canned fruits and vegetables, pudding or fruit cups, instant mashed potatoes, canned meats (tuna, chicken, beef stew), canned pastas, soups, granola bars, peanut butter, jelly, peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, crackers and bottled water.
