Favorite river! I always launch my paddle board at Roger's Park. The water is deeper as you get past the houses, then gets clear and shallow with lots of places to stop and have fun in the water. Shallow enough in places for younger children to play. Have never seen a gator there but always be aware, it's Florida! Weekend parking at Roger's Park fills up fast and early in the mornings. I suggest being there around 7am. You need the park mobile app to pay for parking. There are restrooms by the parking area, bring TP just incase. I take a cooler with snacks and hydration drinks because I am on the river all day. Don't get on the banks or go into the vegetation. Don't touch or harass the Manatee. Beware of motor boats. Check the tides, can be harder going against the tide. Happy paddling! 🛶

Beautiful Natural Florida Springs Weeki Wachee Springs is absolutely beautiful and one of the most peaceful places to enjoy Florida’s natural scenery. The spring-fed water is incredibly clear, with gorgeous shades of blue and green. The surrounding trees and wildlife make the entire area feel relaxing and almost untouched. It is a wonderful place for kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, or simply enjoying the scenery along the Weeki Wachee River. Seeing fish, turtles, birds, and occasionally manatees in their natural surroundings makes the experience even more special. The calm water and beautiful views provide a refreshing escape from Florida’s heat and busy tourist areas. Weeki Wachee Springs is truly a natural treasure and a place I would gladly visit again.

A group of us went paddle boarding on the river. We did not enter from the park entrance. We had an Airbnb which there seemed to be plenty along the river. It's a very windy River. We went on the weekend. It was extremely busy and crowded. There are a lot of inexperienced kayakers running a month. Other than that, it's a beautiful wilderness. We saw quite a few manatees and local bleeding birds.
