My absolute go to store for any niche or eclectic items I might be looking for. I love how the owners truly remember you and try to help you find whatever you may be looking for. A few months ago I was looking for a very specific gift for my boyfriends birthday, A Canon AE-1 Program film camera (The same model I have and love.) If you are familiar with film cameras, you're aware of how difficult these are to find because of how quickly people scoop them up. I started looking in as many antique stores as I could all over the state of Florida and as I was running out of time. I decided to stop into AKA again since I had informed them of what I was looking for a few weeks prior. I went in and they brought out a box filled to the brim with old film cameras, Remembering that I had asked for cameras a few visits before this. Right in the center was exactly the camera I was looking for! It was in pretty decent shape but obviously had signs of age (and some dust) so we were unsure if the camera actually worked. They gave me an incredible price on it because of the uncertainty that it worked, which was so helpful because it allowed for me to buy much needed accessories and film. I took it home, cleaned it up, stuck a battery in it, and took a few test shots on a cheaper roll of film. The results were incredible and the camera worked perfectly. I ended up being able to give the gift to my boyfriend on his birthday, which he absolutely loved. I now get to share my love for film photography and watch his love for film photography grow, Which is a priceless gift in itself. I am so grateful to the owners of this store for all of their help.
