I received a trip as a birthday gift, and it proved to be an exceptional experience. My family and I had the pleasure of observing manatees on multiple occasions throughout our tour. Our guide, Aaron, provided insightful information regarding the various bird species, crabs, and the remarkable manatees we encountered this evening. His demeanor was consistently kind and helpful throughout the entire excursion. The experience was thoroughly enjoyed by all three of our children, aged 12, 8, and 3. We highly recommend the evening/sunset timeframe for this activity.

We had such an amazing experience! From start to finish, everything was well-organized and easy, which made the whole trip even more enjoyable. Our tour guide, Val, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the wildlife and environment. She made sure everyone felt comfortable and shared so many interesting facts along the way. The highlight of the tour was definitely seeing so many manatees up close in their natural habitat. It was such a peaceful and unforgettable experience watching these gentle creatures glide through the water. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a relaxing, unique, and memorable adventure. We’ll definitely be back!

The experience was mastered to perfection. The view was incredible (especially paired with the sunrise) and being able to see wildlife from far away was on its own amazing. Val allowed us to explore and enjoy the scenery in the best way possible, she was extremely patient and encouraging (she knows a lot about the environment too). It also doesn’t help that it’s my first time ever coming to Florida and thus the scenery was brand-new and such a wonder to see. It can be tiring to paddle, but that’s a personal issue on me, and Val was so patient and helpful, especially since I was paddling alone while the rest of my group was in duos 🤣. Overall, 10/10 experience, nearly perfection. I would really recommend trying this place out 🙂

The tour was amazing! Aaron pointed out wildlife sightings on many occasions to make sure we didn’t miss anything. We even got to see multiple manatees even thought it was outside of the usual season. Added bonus, there was a small shop with cold drinks and snacks on-site at check-in. Our laid back tour guide made it so stress free, he even took photos of everyone and shared after the tour.. Highly recommend!

Thank you Val and Get up and Go Kayaking in Weeki Wachee for my 2 hour kayaking tour. As an avid kayaker up in CT, but visiting Weeki Wachee area on my own - my family insisted I get a tour guide and not go out by myself. I couldn't have lucked out with a better tour guide than Val. Her knowledge of the plant life, river features, manatees, bald eagles, blue herons, egrets, fish, and more turned this into a complete nature tour and not just a kayaking adventure. I learned so much! Val's enthusiasm for all things nature is absolutely contagious! It was wonderful seeing how excited she got over the manatees we saw - even though she probably sees them daily. They are marvelous creatures and again Val's love for nature is a treat for anyone who joins her on a kayaking tour. This get up and go manatee and nature trip was beautiful. I am looking forward to visiting again on my next vacation. Thanks for the photos too - Val!
