Visited Saturday during a little cold snap so we got to see a ton of manatees! Saw them in two parts to be exact and they were really close to the start of the kayaking! Last at the front was an angel, and the gentlemen that helped push the boat in for us was very supportive as well! Highly recommend if you’re in the Tampa area and are looking to kayak in the clear waters and see some wild life!
Feb 9, 2026 · Google ReviewA very user-friendly and memorable experience! Easy to find, free-parking, super nice attendant and very reasonable price. Conditions weren't optimal to see manatees and even had we not, it still would have been a worthwhile, relaxing and scenic paddle upriver. Beautiful water and abundant fish to see. Luckily on return, we decided to go a bit further downstream past the drop off area and were rewarded with an awesome encounter with several manatees. Highly recommend!
Jan 26, 2026 · Google ReviewBeautiful waters and saw 2 baby manatees. New rules, no anchoring, beaching, or mooring. Water was nice and we went on a weekday which was very lovely. Parking is available for free, you can rent the kayaks. No alcoholic bev, you will get fined if caught.. pack some lunch and drinks.. and enjoy the day.... supposedly you can paddle to the state park and back.. which I haven't made it that far yet...
