We had an incredible experience at kayaKing Weeki Wachee, and the staff truly went above and beyond. We brought our own kayak and paddle board, and Wesley, Hudson, Matthew, and Gabe made the entire visit seamless, from securing us a great parking spot to helping us get our equipment in and out of the water and back to our car. What really impressed us was how much they helped even though we brought our own gear. They treated us like VIPs and made everything so convenient. We usually pay for parking at Rogers Park and its always a fiasco, but honestly, the little extra cost to come here is absolutely worth it for the level of service and support you get. It made our day so much easier and more enjoyable. Thanks again to Wesley, Hudson, Matthew, and Gabe for making our visit unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back! 🙌🏼
Jun 15, 2026 · Google ReviewWe went on a weekday, so it wasn’t crowded. But we had zero issues with getting our kayaks in and out. It was super easy to get to the river and an absolutely beautiful trip. The guy who helped us launch the kayaks was nice and helpful. He even pointed out a group of manatees right where we launched. The price point was nice too. Clean bathroom and great service.
Jun 4, 2026 · Google ReviewAwesome kayaking experience at Weeki Wachee! For those trying to find it: when you turn off Shoal Line Blvd, take an immediate right, then go just past the closed restaurant (check my photos in the review for reference). The kayak rental building is easy to miss if you’re not paying attention—look for a building with two garage doors, a regular door, and a blue and gold dolphin above one of the garage doors. It also has a sign that says "Kayaks & Attractions." Parking is free, and the staff will guide you exactly where to park, which makes arrival simple and easy. At check-in, you’ll fill out a quick liability form. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they even held onto my car keys during the trip. There’s a clean bathroom, a souvenir shop, and cold drinks available too. This is the only area I think they could improve check in and check out to be a little smoother. Paddling tips: After launching, head down the canal and take the first left at the end of the canal to begin paddling upstream. Always stay to the right as you go. When you pass Rogers Park on your left, do not go under the bridge—stay right to continue upstream. On the return trip, when you see Rogers Park again, take a left, paddle toward the giraffe statue, and then take a right into the launch area. The paddling experience? Incredible. Weeki Wachee River is absolutely stunning. The water is so clear you can see fish swimming below you, and you’re surrounded by lush vegetation, wildlife, and peaceful scenery the entire way. It truly feels like paddling through a tropical paradise. Just be prepared—paddling upstream is a workout. We rented for 4 hours and spent 2 hours going upstream, with only 1 hour coming back down thanks to the strong current. That return trip is a breeze, though—just sit back and enjoy the ride! Helpful tips: Bring a Ziploc bag or waterproof pouch for your phone and electronics Pack a couple of bottles of water Wear sunscreen—the Florida sun is intense Bring a change of clothes in case you swim or get splashed And remember: when another boat is approaching, always keep to the right—just like driving! Between the natural beauty, helpful staff, and relaxing float back, this was one of the best kayaking trips I’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!
Jul 27, 2025 · Google ReviewPulled in a little late because of traffic coming from Ocala, but they had no problem with that. The young man who helped us get signed in was very helpful and really welcoming. My apologies I did not get his name. But a great place and very friendly staff. We definitely would book again with them.
May 1, 2026 · Google ReviewGreat experience with this establishment! The employees were very friendly, pleasant and helpful. They helped my mom get in and out of kayak (she's 72, bad knees) and kayaks were nice. Check in/out was easy! Nice small store with Tshirts etc. Very affordable 👌 The river was crystal clear and we seen a few manatees (always a perk of Weeki Wachee) We will definitely rent from KayaKing again!
