Sending biggest thanks to the owners and staff of KayaKing. The entire process of booking/renting was super smooth and everyone was so friendly. Had a super magical day on the water. We saw manatees and even a dolphin and her baby. Definitely will be back.
Jul 4, 2026 · Google ReviewI had a great overall experience kayaking here! The staff was friendly and very laid back—so laid back they move a little slowly at times, but everyone was pleasant and helpful. A word of warning: parking is absolutely insane. I would not recommend visiting the Weeki Wachee River during or anywhere near a holiday unless you're prepared for heavy crowds and limited parking. One mistake I made was leaving my sunscreen in the car. Even though much of the river is shaded, you can still get absolutely fried, so don't forget to bring and reapply sunscreen! The wildlife made the trip memorable. I was lucky enough to see a mother manatee with her calf, another adult manatee, giant spiders, lots of birds, and the water was so clear that I could see tons of fish swimming below me. I was hoping to spot an alligator, but with so many people on the river, they stayed hidden. There are plenty of places to stop and explore along the river, which keeps the trip interesting. The only downside was how crowded it was, which took away from the peaceful experience I was hoping for. I'd definitely kayak here again, but next time I'd choose a weekday or a less busy time of year. I also think I'd like to try Crystal River for comparison. Overall, it was a fun adventure and one I'd recommend—as long as you avoid the crowds!
Jun 28, 2026 · Google ReviewWe had an incredible experience at kayaKing Weeki Wachee, and the staff truly went above and beyond. We brought our own kayak and paddle board, and Wesley, Hudson, Matthew, and Gabe made the entire visit seamless, from securing us a great parking spot to helping us get our equipment in and out of the water and back to our car. What really impressed us was how much they helped even though we brought our own gear. They treated us like VIPs and made everything so convenient. We usually pay for parking at Rogers Park and its always a fiasco, but honestly, the little extra cost to come here is absolutely worth it for the level of service and support you get. It made our day so much easier and more enjoyable. Thanks again to Wesley, Hudson, Matthew, and Gabe for making our visit unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back! 🙌🏼

Jun 14, 2026 · Google ReviewWe went on a weekday, so it wasn’t crowded. But we had zero issues with getting our kayaks in and out. It was super easy to get to the river and an absolutely beautiful trip. The guy who helped us launch the kayaks was nice and helpful. He even pointed out a group of manatees right where we launched. The price point was nice too. Clean bathroom and great service.
Jun 4, 2026 · Google ReviewPulled in a little late because of traffic coming from Ocala, but they had no problem with that. The young man who helped us get signed in was very helpful and really welcoming. My apologies I did not get his name. But a great place and very friendly staff. We definitely would book again with them.
