Bottom Dwellers Scuba and Charter is a family-owned scuba and boat charter company based in Hernando County. Founded by Heather and Jason Kogel, the business shares a passion for diving, ocean conservation, and helping others explore the Gulf Coast waters.
The company offers scuba instruction, guided dive charters, and sunset or daytime cruises departing from Hernando Beach Marina. Certified instructors teach scuba courses ranging from Open Water certification through advanced and professional-level training.
Charters take place aboard a 28-foot Aquila Molokai catamaran and may include guided dives, snorkeling, wildlife viewing, or relaxing cruises along the Gulf Coast. Trips are designed for small groups and provide an opportunity to enjoy the marine life and coastal scenery of Florida’s Adventure Coast.

Jason did a great job keeping boat steady and Heather is a fantastic guide! They are very attentive to diver safety and having a great time! This round we did our first night dive since certification and could not think of anyone else we would rather try our first night dive ocean experience with! 100% recommend! You will not regret it! Hands down the best charter in the area! 😁

t wI had the opportunity to dive with Jason and Heather. They are great, definitely a top notch dive operator. They knew the sites very well and put us right on the spots. They were very thorough on the safety briefings and our dive plan. I highly recommend Bottom Dwellers Scuba and Charter

CharlesThe dve started with a great ride to the dive spot. The dive master explained the dive plan and it was executed precisely as described. The boat captian assisted with us going in and out of the water. Overall was great fun and would do ist again !!!

Heather, who who is the dive master/instructor did a great job leading our 2 dives and Jason, who is the boat captain did an awesome job getting us to/from the dive sites, helping all the divers in and out of their dive gear, and assisting divers getting in/out of the water!!

Jason SmithSeveral of us completed a refresher course and my teenage daughter got her open water certification. Heather and Jason are great teachers and great people. They are very patient and do a very thorough job ensuring divers have all the skills needed. I recommend them to everyone!
