Played Karoo + The Squeeze Karoo: 8/10 The Squeeze: 9/10 The whole community is pretty cool, definitely gives off a modern, golf centric vibe and felt extremely secluded from civilization. We played the tangerine tees on Karoo, would recommend playing a tee box back. A lot of the holes felt gimmicky off the tee. Tons of bunkers and waste areas either force unnatural lay ups or force carries. The green complexes on Karoo were definitely wild. Both greens on Karoo and the Squeeze are Bermuda grass I believe, but Karoo was extremely sandy and hard to read. If you took the greens from the Squeeze and swapped with Karoo, it’d be a strong 9/10. If that’s the Roost design, I’d recommend playing Roost any day over Karoo. Overall, Karoo was definitely worth the price. It’s a little quirky, but that’s intentional — you won’t find another course like it. The Squeeze is an absolute must play. You could play it 3x and not get sick of it.
Jun 1, 2026 · Google ReviewWhat an incredible experience visiting Cabot Citrus Farms today. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day in June in FL! Let’s start with the staff: friendly, polite, respectful, and very hospitable. My man Dominick was such a blessing, giving me a ride to and from the club house, and grabbing me a cup of water before my round. One con, was the greenskeeper turned on the sprinklers as I was teeing off on 10, but he promptly came over and apologized. Now the course and pro shop : I didn’t have time to do a full round, so I elected to play the short course (the Squeeze). It was a super fun layout, and very enjoyable track. I brought my own push cart, but they had one’s available if needed. There’s no water and the course is very open. Super friendly for those who haven’t golfed a lot but challenging enough to keep it interesting. Tees, fairways, and greens are in excellent shape. Greens have tons of undulation and allow you to be very creating with your approach shots. I had an absolute blast and would highly recommend the course. The pro shop was exceptional as well. Super clean and modern with apparel from many great brands, accessories, hats, and bags. Lastly, The Porch: an excellent way to finish a great morning. Wood fired pizza, great views of the surrounding courses, and great service. The pizza was delicious! I look forward to going back for a full golf weekend soon!
Jun 6, 2026 · Google ReviewWe played at the Karoo, Roost, The Squeeze and The Wedge. I would recommend starting on the Wedge & Squeeze on the day of arrival & then Roost & Karoo. Imv, Karoo was the best. Great accomplishments & super service. I've stayed at several Cabot properties, and they do ensure consistency.
Jun 17, 2026 · Google ReviewPlayed the Roost and Karoo. Both are good courses but Roost is still somewhat immature and hard to figure out hole to hole where to go and drive golf care. Karoo is much better organized. Golf staff was very nice and food in the restaurant was good. Took off a star as they allowed a very SLOW FIVEsome on the course with whom we caught up. They had caddies that were useless in keeping a oversized group moving along on the course.
Apr 19, 2026 · Google ReviewCabot Citrus Farms was fun—but it’s not quite living up to the hype or the price point yet. Starting with the positives: the drive-up and entrance are excellent, the overall vibe is strong, and the layout is genuinely fun (even if a bit hokey at times). Pace of play was good, the greens are massive and entertaining to putt across, and the food and beverage options are solid—but overpriced relative to the rest of the experience. Overall, the staff is friendly, and we absolutely had a good time. That said, at $360 per round, expectations are high—and several things missed the mark compared to other golf experiences at a similar price. • The employees are helpful, but not at the level you’d expect for a premium, hospitality-driven golf destination. Some additional training would go a long way if the goal is true high-end service. • The driving range tech is very cool and almost offsets having to hit off mats—but not completely. Also, no restroom anywhere near the range is hard to fathom. • Mandatory walking feels unnecessary here. We did it, and it’s doable, but this isn’t a course where walking needs to be required—especially at this price. • The lack of complimentary refreshment stations is surprising. The paid options are good, but again, at this price point, it’s hard to justify when compared to similar resorts. • A surprising number of holes, tee boxes, and surrounding areas feel unfinished. Weeds in bunkers, rough, and around tees were noticeable and not what I expected. • Tee boxes that are literally just markers placed in the fairway are completely unacceptable for a course charging this much. • We had multiple instances where employees appeared to be racing us to tees or greens to scoot by while cutting or in transit, which felt awkward and unreasonable compared to other high-end courses. • The greens are wildly unrealistic. They’re fun to mess around on, but they bear little resemblance to anything you’d see on a traditional or “real” golf course. Bottom line: we had fun, no doubt—but we don’t believe the experience fully justifies the hype or the price. For similar money, we’d choose other destinations first. That said, if you decide to go, you’ll enjoy yourself—I just wonder if you’ll feel it was worth the price of admission. A solid 4 stars, with potential to earn more as things get refined.
