Hot day, cool, clean, clear water! The perfect place to float and not crowded at all. No bad smells and eclveryone was polite. Not much parking so be prepared to walk a bit. We'll worth it though.
Apr 19, 2026 · Google ReviewWe got there early on a Tuesday and had our choice of parking. We brought our own yaks and paddled up the river for several miles before floating back, attempting to fish on the way. We got to see 2 manatees and did land several bass and brim. Overall we had a great time.
Jun 2, 2026 · Google ReviewLovely little park open 24 hours a day including the bathroom! Usually park restrooms are locked at night, but not here. Stopped here while on an overnight storm-chase and sat for probably an hour around 2AM to take a break from driving and look at weather forecasts with no issues. The spring was also really pretty. Even though it was dark, the water was crystal clear and warm (probably around 72⁰) which is weird considering the air temperature was 28⁰f.
Feb 2, 2026 · Google ReviewGreat place to put in kayaks or take out. Paid parking, good launch and floated a portion of the weeki. If you have the option, put in at the head spring and float down to Roger's Park. Hospital hole had lots of manatees and it was a short paddle from the launch. Lots of houses along the way, not the serene part of the river for sure, but beautiful.
Feb 12, 2026 · Google ReviewIt was a busy place that was also very peaceful. Smaller than I expected. Many people were in the swim area. Some people were taking kayaks out of the water. We saw a person on a stand up paddle board. Others mentioned a manatee nearby. I would go back!
