Loved this trail. The Cypress trees are divine. The trail was well marked throughout the preserve. As others have mentioned there is the issue with it going from on lot to another and then you walk the road to get back to your car. Alltrails app doesn't help because it shows you the trail and the road as one loop trail. So you either walk out about 2 miles and turn around and go back or you walk the last half mile on the road. Otherwise the park is beautiful and I look forward to visiting it again.

If you want to get up close to some big, old Cypress trees, this is the place to go. The Preserve is rather primitive, so dress accordingly. There's lots of shade, so it's a great place to hike on a hot day.

Trail is open 2/23/25. Not the most well maintained but good enough if you’re looking for something off the beaten path and not swarmed with bicyclists on the weekend

I couldn't figure this place out and if the trail was open. The entrance is about 100 feet from a fire station. There is a residential house connected to the parking lot and another residential house next to that house. Looked pretty cool from the aerial view. Cypress Lake Preserve, located in Hernando County, Florida, is a scenic natural area renowned for its stunning cypress swamps and diverse wildlife.
