Wandering Wednesdays - Chinsegut Nature Center Loop
Join us on a Wednesday of each month for Wandering Wednesday, a guided nature walk that explores the unique habitats of Chinsegut and surrounding WEAs. Each month brings a new opportunity to learn about local wildlife, land stewardship, and the conservation work that protects these special places.
This month's hike will begin and end at Chinsegut Conservation Center (23212 Lake Lindsey Rd), where restrooms and water fountains are available. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start promptly at 9:00 a.m. The hike is approximately 2.2 miles and takes about 2 hours, ending around 11:00 a.m. Trails are unpaved with uneven and sometimes sandy terrain, and include both shaded and open areas.
Recommended items include long pants, closed‑toed shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and water. Feel free to bring binoculars or a camera to enhance your experience—there’s always something exciting to discover.

*Chinsegut has one track chair available on a first come, first serve basis for people with mobility challenges. If you would like to participate in this program and feel like you would benefit from the use of the chair, please contact us to request an accommodation.
