Second Annual New Works Festival
Join us for the Second Annual New Works Festival
Date: August 21- 23, 2026
Location: Stage West Playhouse
8390 Forest Oaks Blvd, Spring Hill
Over three exciting days, we will present all original work including a series of funny, engaging, and touching ten-minute plays and two exciting new full-length plays all of which were written and produced by the Stage West Playwriting Group’s award-winning playwrights.
Friday night – August 21 – Short Plays Presentation
(9 plays of about 10 minutes each) Showtime – 7:30 pm
Saturday August 22 - doors open at noon
12:30 – 1:30: Improv troupe “Improv Battle” on the stage in the Forum theater – audience participation welcome as the SWP Improv-ables battle Troupe Du Jour of Brooksville. Don’t miss this part of the Festival!
2pm: Short Plays Presentation (9 plays of about 10 minutes each)
7:30 pm: The World Premier of the full-length play, One Seat Over
by Brian Brijbag – international award-winning playwright
Sunday August 23 - Doors open at noon
12:30 – 1:30: Showtune Karaoke in the Cantina – Always a hit at the festival.
2pm: Dinner for Six - a full-length play by award-winning playwright Lil Barcaski
Tickets for any one show – $15
All access pass (attend any and all performances) $35
There will be food trucks on site each day and libations available in our Cantina. Come experience new, fun, poignant, and outstanding plays.
