Night Hike
Join us for a family-friendly evening of nocturnal exploration at Chinsegut WEA! We’ll start at the conservation center with an introduction to Chinsegut, and as the sun sets, we’ll observe bats as they emerge from the Chinsegut bat boxes. After that, we’ll walk down to May’s Prairie where we’ll listen to the sounds of the night from the boardwalk and overlook. Along the way, we'll provide UV and infrared flashlights and look for various creatures.
The hike is moderate, over uneven terrain and unpaved trails in the dark. Shoes appropriate for hiking are recommended. We will provide bug spray, but feel free to bring your own! All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Chinsegut has one track chair available on a first come, first serve basis for people with mobility challenges. If you would like to participate in this program and feel like you would benefit from the use of the chair, please contact us to request an accommodation.
