moncef karoui (Moon's)After an already unforgettable day at Weeki Wachee, we found ourselves heading back to Tampa with one very specific mission, eating brisket 🙂 a quick Google search pointed us to a closer spot… but it meant U turn, then we saw Mission BBQ just a bit farther down the road, better rated, and most importantly, in the right direction. Decision made... And wow… sometimes the best travel decisions are the simplest ones. From the moment we walked in, it felt like stepping into a slice of Americana, the kind you secretly hope to find as a staff, genuinely warm, smiling, and welcoming in that effortless way that makes you feel right at home, even thousands of miles away. And the brisket ! let’s just say this, I’ve had brisket before. I thought I knew brisket. I did not know brisket. This was hands down the best I’ve ever had, tender, flavorful, and worth every extra mile. As a foreign traveler, experiences like this are exactly why we love discovering the U.S. beyond the guidebooks. I’d absolutely recommend this place, and I’ll be back the next time my travels bring me through Tampa bay area. Mission BBQ didn’t just feed us, it gave the perfect ending to a perfect day. Patrick NortonReally impressed with the service and the food here. The variety of meats I tried were all top-notch, but the brisket was the clear winner for me. Plus, the fries were perfectly crispy. Highly recommend! I shared the trip plate and it was still plenty!

Carmelo CabreraGreat place to bring the whole family to. The menu is simple and self explanatory. I came with my and had an awesome time. The food was great, and my burger was perfect. Everything we had had amazing flavors and were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend stopping by and enjoy everything.

Cruz MichaelThis is our first time here. We are coming in the grand opening week. It seems the management has trained everyone properly. All the workers were smiling and being very friendly. The girl at the register knew the menu well and asked all the pertinent questions to help the line move at a quick pace( as it was very busy at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon. This place is a lot pricy. A decent meal will be way over $20. That being said, I'd say the portions makes it a decent value. The food was really good. The sauces were all tasty. They do have a nice outside dining area which would be good on nice days. They don't have waitresses as you order at the counter, and then they call you when your meal is ready. But they do have lovely ladies walking around keeping everything clean and stocking the accondiments. We had "Claudia" help us with several things that we forgot to get. She was very pleasant and friendly as well. Would I recommend this restaurant? Yes, definitely. We'll be back!
