I stopped into Horse & Crown to pick up a friend who had been drinking. While standing at the bar I set a few things on the counter next to him after cleaning out my pockets — including some cash and a couple plastic cups from another establishment that were used as drink tokens. I stepped away briefly to check the wait list for karaoke. When I came back, my money and the cups were gone from the counter, even though my wallet, phone, and keys were still sitting there untouched. When I asked about it, bartender Nikki had clearly taken the items. She gave me back my money after I questioned it, but refused to return the cups and immediately got an attitude when I asked about my belongings. Also take into consideration i haven't had a drink tonight. That interaction was disappointing and unprofessional. For what it’s worth, Melissa — another bartender I usually see there — has always been great and I’ve never had any issues with her. I would be willing to update or redact this review if management looks into the situation and takes reasonable action. Customers shouldn’t have to worry about their belongings being taken from the bar counter and then being treated poorly when they ask about it.
