Had the chance to play both Karoo and Roost this week. Both courses are in good shape. Karoo is definitely much harder with harder greens and multiple split fairways. Roost was in better shape as they had a tournament there not long ago. Roost was my favorite of the two. Karoo feels a bit much at times especially with how ridiculous the greens are. We played Karoo on a Sunday and the pin placements were diabolical. Is it worth the price, probably not. At almost $200 WITHOUT a $35 cart fee it seems like a bit of a stretch and probably why it was pretty empty in the afternoon. Their “in season” rates are insane. These courses are not worth about $400. They’re nice courses to play once but the prices are a bit high. There are courses just as good or better for a lot cheaper prices during summer and winter. Staff is friendly and welcoming and very helpful getting around the property.
Jun 8, 2026 · Google ReviewWhat an incredible experience visiting Cabot Citrus Farms today. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day in June in FL! Let’s start with the staff: friendly, polite, respectful, and very hospitable. My man Dominick was such a blessing, giving me a ride to and from the club house, and grabbing me a cup of water before my round. One con, was the greenskeeper turned on the sprinklers as I was teeing off on 10, but he promptly came over and apologized. Now the course and pro shop : I didn’t have time to do a full round, so I elected to play the short course (the Squeeze). It was a super fun layout, and very enjoyable track. I brought my own push cart, but they had one’s available if needed. There’s no water and the course is very open. Super friendly for those who haven’t golfed a lot but challenging enough to keep it interesting. Tees, fairways, and greens are in excellent shape. Greens have tons of undulation and allow you to be very creating with your approach shots. I had an absolute blast and would highly recommend the course. The pro shop was exceptional as well. Super clean and modern with apparel from many great brands, accessories, hats, and bags. Lastly, The Porch: an excellent way to finish a great morning. Wood fired pizza, great views of the surrounding courses, and great service. The pizza was delicious! I look forward to going back for a full golf weekend soon!
Jun 6, 2026 · Google ReviewTruly remarkable experience on an amazing course (Karoo). Pictures don’t come close to the beauty of this track and undulation of the greens and rolling hills. Can’t wait to go back!
Jun 5, 2026 · Google ReviewPlayed Karoo + The Squeeze Karoo: 8/10 The Squeeze: 9/10 The whole community is pretty cool, definitely gives off a modern, golf centric vibe and felt extremely secluded from civilization. We played the tangerine tees on Karoo, would recommend playing a tee box back. A lot of the holes felt gimmicky off the tee. Tons of bunkers and waste areas either force unnatural lay ups or force carries. The green complexes on Karoo were definitely wild. Both greens on Karoo and the Squeeze are Bermuda grass I believe, but Karoo was extremely sandy and hard to read. If you took the greens from the Squeeze and swapped with Karoo, it’d be a strong 9/10. If that’s the Roost design, I’d recommend playing Roost any day over Karoo. Overall, Karoo was definitely worth the price. It’s a little quirky, but that’s intentional — you won’t find another course like it. The Squeeze is an absolute must play. You could play it 3x and not get sick of it.
Jun 1, 2026 · Google ReviewPlayed Roost and it was in excellent condition. The staff is always pretty friendly. I played Karoo back in March during peak pricing and it was definitely not worth it. During summer rates you can’t go wrong with either course. In my opinion Roost is the better course. Nice challenging layout and greens and some easier gettable par 4s. Karoo feels a bit like a gimmick with very undulating greens but there’s not many courses in Florida like it so I get the hype too. You can’t go wrong with either course. Only bad thing was being charged $35 for a cart and you don’t even get your own cart you have to pair up with someone you don’t know. Seems a bit of a stretch on pricing.
Jun 1, 2026 · Google ReviewStarting with the approach, it is beautiful and let's you know you're in for an experience. The range, and short game facility is likely the best I've seen. The course is in amazing shape and the greens are running quick with lots of undulation. F&B options on about four holes was a great touch. The only miss was the cart paths and signage. There are no paved paths and often times, none at all. Finding the next hole proved more challenging than it should. Overall, one of the best experiences
May 30, 2026 · Google ReviewVery friendly staff, and very clean!! Beautiful golf courses, with the Granger Restaurant, which has great food!! Places you can rent as well. Great selection at golf pro shop as well.
May 29, 2026 · Google ReviewThe golf and the hospitality are on a different level. We’ve traveled to a lot of golf resorts but this place by far outshines them all. 10/10 can’t recommend enough.
