The Croom Wildlife Management Area offers over 20,000 acres of cypress and longleaf pine forests adjacent to the Withlacoochee River. This area is a haven for hikers and wildlife enthusiasts; keep your eyes peeled for white-tailed deer, gopher tortoises, southern fox squirrels and the rare red-cockaded woodpecker.
