Visit the Many Sites to See
As you cruise the Gulf Coast of Florida, you’ll come across tons of incredible places. There are thriving forests, trails, unique museums, beautiful parks, delicious restaurants, and so much more.
Arguably one of the best places to visit on your motorcycle journey is Lead Foot City. Dubbed America’s first automotive theme park, Lead Foot City is the perfect stop for automotive enthusiasts. Check out their weekly car shows, take a behind-the-scenes tour, and even go drift racing! Soon, you’ll even be able to drive on a drag strip and navigate an autocross track.
Richloam General Store is another superb stop along the area. This character-filled store has been part of the National Register of Historic Places since 2017. You’ll learn all about the shop’s history in the Richloam Museum section, or you can buy locally crafted and historically accurate goods in the Richloam General Store section. It’s for the shoppers and history buffs.
Stop for a Bite to Eat
After riding for a while, you’ll inevitably need to get some food. Luckily, there are many fantastic eateries in the area, the first of which is The Drunken Mullet. This casual sports bar is a Hernando Beach hit! Known for its outstanding service, in addition to its fabulous everyday food, try the blackened wings, the Krab cakes, or the butter smash burger.
Not far from The Drunken Mullet lies Bayport Inn. Known for its live music and fresh seafood dishes, you can’t go wrong with a meal at this local gem. Enjoy the grouper sandwich, the fried fiesta seafood platter, the fried gator tail – a Florida’s must! – or all of them.
In the Brooksville area, there’s Sail Inn. This popular venue is a hotspot for bikers. With great drinks, games, and entertainment, it’s the ideal place to take a break from riding. So what are you waiting for? Grab a drink, dance to the live music, test your dart-throwing skills, and play a few games of pool! Last but certainly not least, there are loads of classic fast-food joints located along Florida’s Adventure Coast.

You can’t ride 24/7, no matter how much you may like it! However, with many accommodations options, you are sure to find a favorite place to spend the night and get some rest.
A few excellent bed and breakfasts are dotted throughout Hernando County, including The Ardendales Guest House in downtown Brooksville. The lovely property is a historic home built over 100 years ago, restored to all of the charms of its original era, and modernized to include the conveniences we are accustomed to today.
If you’d prefer a more traditional hotel, consider staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Brooksville Suncoast Parkway. This brand new property boasts complimentary continental breakfast, a lovely pool, a well-equipped fitness center, and a prime location.
Hang Out with Your Fellow Bikers
Florida’s Adventure Coast doesn’t just feature exciting biking routes and stops. It also has fantastic motorcycle events, where you can hang out with the many other bikers in the area.
First up, there’s the Brooksville Bike Rally. This monthly event draws in bikers from all over Hernando County. Listen to live music, play fun family games, drink refreshing beer, and participate in the popular bike show. Around Christmas, Santa even pops by for a visit!
If you’re not in town for the Brooksville Bike Rally, Bike Nights at Coney Island Drive-Inn might be happening instead. Held two times a month, this event is always a fun time. Listen to live music, eat great food, and even enter a bike contest for a chance to win a $500 grand prize!
