Loc       al art can also be found decorating the walls, including Brooksville artist, Lee Middleton’s iconic works.

 

Rust to Roses Vintage Décor & More at the Airport Flea Market is a hidden gem of Hernando County’s vintage shopping scene. Every weekend, shoppers are tempted to buy out their entire stock! From farmhouse-style dining tables to weathered benches to unique plant pots, Rust to Roses’ vintage pieces are the perfect way to spruce up any home, while their extensive collection of flowering plants will bring color and drama to your garden.

 

Transformed Treasures in Brooksville offers a collection of about a dozen different vendors, meaning there is a wide variety of items to peruse. Local favorites are the hand-painted furniture, distressed signs, and antique stained glass windows. The Thrifty Dog store in Spring Hill is the perfect place to go thrift shopping on Florida’s Adventure Coast. There are racks and racks of vintage clothes from all different decades. As if that weren’t already enough to get visitors through the door, the clothing prices are absurdly a steal! Many clothing items are priced at $1 or less when they’re on sale!

 

Last but certainly not least, the proceeds from Thrifty Dog go towards helping animals in the Hernando County Community. In the past, this incredible non-profit has donated to charities like PAW Warriors, Operation Kindness for Hernando County Animal Services, and Kathi’s K9s.

When people think about vintage shopping, furniture and clothes are often the first things that come to mind. But there are many other finds on Florida’s Adventure Coast, including some delightful surprises…

While AKA Salvage & Designs sells a wide variety of vintage products, the vinyl records are the pieces that bring visitors from near and afar. Music lovers can easily spend hours sifting through their extensive collection. Whether it’s an old school Disneyland soundtrack or your favorite album by Johnny Cash, AKA Salvage Designs has all sorts of exciting musical treasures just waiting for you to discover.

 

But music isn’t the only form of entertainment in Hernando County’s vintage stores. The 100-year-old Richloam General Store in Webster also has exciting finds. While the historic building and accompanying museum are already reason enough to visit, the gems inside will convince visitors to stick around awhile. All of the goods inside this unique shop are correct for the period, including cast-iron cooking ware, preserves and dried goods, while the counter is lined with old-fashioned candy jars, enticing kids of all ages. This hidden gem offers including vintage toys, which make great gifts or souvenirs, as well as an hand-scooped ice-cream, making it an ideal stop on your scenic tour of the area.
