    Not only is downtown Brooksville a bustling Monday through Friday government center, it’s also home to year-round evening and weekend celebrations. The second Friday of each month, the Brooksville Main Street Organization hosts Friday Night Live, a year-round outdoor concert series and market at Hernando Park. From 5:00 pm until 10:30 pm, musicians take to the Bandshell stage while the audience enjoys the shady park setting. Admission to this family friendly event is free.

    Shop one-of-a-kind artisan goods each month at Un-Common-ly Artsy: The Historic Downtown Brooksville Arts Market. Find this growing group of makers and unique vendors on the third Saturday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Enjoy fantastic local dining, a tour of the latest UpTown Gallery exhibits and more free family-friendly fun.

    Car enthusiasts roll into Brooksville for the Blues-In – Cruise-In the third Saturday of every month. From 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, old time classic cars line up on Main Street while the BlueZ Band performs on the courthouse steps. Food and drink are available from downtown restaurants and trophies are awarded in various car categories.

    Every Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, support local growers by purchasing food fresh-from-the-fields at the Brooksville Farmer’s Market. From vegetables and berries, to herbs, cheeses, soaps and other hand-crafted items, pick up treasures not found at any chain store.

    On top of these popular weekly and monthly events, historic downtown Brooksville is unrivaled during the Christmas season. Days, evenings and weekends sparkle with festivities. From visits with Santa and his live reindeer to horse-drawn carriage rides, a spectacular synchronized Christmas tree and much more, Brooksville embodies beloved American Main Street Christmas appeal.

    The second weekend of March, for over 35 years, the spring-green shade of  Tom Varn Park is home to Art in the Park. Stroll tree-lined paths and browse over 120 fine arts and craft exhibits.
