Summer is almost here and now is your chance to explore these two trails, each about two miles long, with their stunning variety of plants and wildlife.
The two trails highlighted here exemplify the Temperate Hardwood Forest: a shady habitat containing the greatest diversity of trees and shrubs per unit area in the continental United States.

Chinsegut Conservation Center is funded and operated by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Chinsegut is unlike any other property managed by the commission as its primary role is to provide environmental and conservation education in addition to outdoor skills training.
Guided hikes are offered monthly, guided night hikes are offered 4 times a year. Come learn about our Florida environments and wildlife or stop in to learn a new skill. Chinsegut offers experiences for all ages. Check out our calendar.

Summer fishing is heating up. Summer is here and so is the heat. Start your day early and prepare yourself for the sun and heat. Drink water to stay hydrated. Wear plenty of sunblock and a cap or wide brimmed hat with sunglasses to protect your eyes.
Fishing is great right now. We have tarpon all over the Florida Coast and right here in Florida’s Adventure Coast is the stomping grounds for world record tarpon. We have shallow water that is crystal clear making sight fishing for poons as good as it gets. Fly fisherman come from all around the world to target this fish and so should you.
