Silver Lake is a sparkling destination for daytime and overnight adventures. In the Croom Tract of the Withlacoochee State Forest, Silver Lake Recreation Complex is filled with choices for day use such as picnicking, kayaking, freshwater fishing, hiking and biking. A large lakeside pavilion is perfect for gatherings. Adjacent to the Withlacoochee River and the 46-mile long paved Withlacoochee State Trail, Silver Lake is a popular launch point for long and short nature hikes, bike rides and paddling adventures. A boat ramp is suitable for setting off in a motorboat, kayak or canoe.
