Inshore fishing is very good right now; red fish and snook are schooled up on the outer islands and mangrove points. An incoming tide has been the best bite, we are having best luck with live pilchards and pin fish.
Seat trout are working their way out offshore in 5-7 feet of water. A 1/4-ounce jig head rigged with a white or root beer little Jon soft plastic is my go-to rig in deeper flats. Spanish mackerel and cobia are also in the same depth right now. A live bite on a stout rod is all you need for a big cobia.
Offshore, the mangrove snapper bite is still great in 28-40 feet of water. Along with the mangroves we are catching hog fish gag and red grouper, grunts, and mackerel.
