• March 2019 Fishing on Florida’s Adventure Coast

    Fishing-Report-Header

Spring is finally here on Florida’s Adventure Coast. Game fish are on the hunt for food and ready to eat what you present. Live white bait is the best bait of choice right now. Red fish are schooled up on the outer points and islands. Fish a moving tide for them. Most of the reds are in the upper slot and over.

Trout are working their way out to deeper water so target them on rock bars and grass flats. In three to six feet of water, live bait under a cork is a great rig for trout.

Snook are holding around points and holes with a good current flow. Use a 30-pound leader and a 2/0-3/0 circle hook with a live green back and hold on tight!

Cobia are starting to show up. We will see the big push of cobia in about another month, so keep a rod rigged and ready for them. Soft plastic jigs or flukes are my go-to for cobia fishing.
