One of Florida’s Adventure Coast’s best-kept secrets is the Nature Coast Botanical Gardens. A lush, shady 3.5-acre property, this special place is tucked off Commercial Way and easily accessible from Spring Hill Drive. Visit seven days a week from dawn to dusk; the Gardens are free and open to the public.
Founded in 1994 by members of the Spring Hill Garden Club, the Botanical Gardens boast 23 separately-themed areas. Some of what you will see include an Asian Tea Garden, a Bromeliad Garden, a Rose Garden and a Butterfly Garden. Look for the Rain Forest right next to the Desert Scape.
After strolling the lovingly-tended pathways, take in the serenity from a central gazebo and relax to sounds of a nearby waterfall.
Join festivities during the holiday season and special events throughout the year. It’s a favorite for weddings, art and music shows, as well as environmental programs. Check their upcoming events calendar often.
The Nature Coast Botanical Gardens is proudly maintained by an all-volunteer group of talented gardening enthusiasts. Browse their photo galleries and view virtual tours. Better yet, experience this glorious place in person. Visit often; the sights, scents and blooms change from season to season.
