In April, while the heavenly scent of citrus blossoms still sweeten the air, blueberries are ripening. Peak blueberry u-picking season corresponds to the Brooksville Blueberry Festival. The last weekend each April, historic downtown Brooksville transforms to a free family-friendly party celebrating the mighty berry that is blue.
